Home/About Us

Janella Alpacas is situated in the Central West region of NSW, in the beautiful town of Bathurst. We are a small and picturesque stud on 40 acres of native pasture and tall trees which is an ideal place to farm our alpacas as they thrive in the cool climate.

We established our farm in 2007 with one female and one wether and a steep learning curve before us. We now have a small herd of mainly white and fawn animals (carrying Highlander, El Dorado, and Yavari lines). We are members of the NSW Central Western Region of the Australian Alpaca Association and participate in the Q Alpaca program (MN1). Our aim is to breed huacaya with correct conformation, excellent temperaments and fibre that is fine, dense and lustrous.

To this end we are very pleased and proud to announce our purchase of a half share in Shanbrooke Pure Evolution and Encantador Ringmaster - co-owned in conjunction with Regal House Alpacas, Kurrajong. We are very excited to add these genetics to our breeding program.

We also have an online shop to showcase the beautiful products made from alpaca fibre. We stock a quality range of products including yarn from our own animals and processed here in Australia.

Janella Alpacas is now on Facebook.
